Ok...the basement did not get completed but a very good dent was made in it. Hopefully, it will be completely finished by the time this next weekend is over. I'll be working on some projects by myself this week and then Allen will help on the weekend to finish things up. Completion will be great but progress is good so I am pleased. At least there are large areas of the basement floor that are now visible! :)

This has now gotten to the serious stage. I have been trying to get our basement cleaned out and organized for months. I make a little bit of progress and then 'life' happens and it is days or weeks before I make it back to the basement. I have really been trying since the first of the year but there have been so many things going on and the weather has not cooperated at all with so many gloomy, dreary, rainy days. The gloomy and dreary is not the problem...that means I have to stay inside anyway, but the rain and soaking wet ground is the problem. I have a lot of 'stuff' and trash that need to be hauled off and I can't do that with the ground wet and it raining. The sun is supposed to come out this afternoon and the temps up to 75. The weekend is supposed to be sunny and temps in the low 80's. This will be a perfect time to tackle the basement and work until it is finished! I have no idea how we have accumulated so much junk but we certainly have. You can hardly move around our basement and it is not a small basement. There are just some narrow pathways to get through it. Hopefully, by Monday morning, it will be clean and organized and we will be able to actually use parts of it! Please keep your fingers crossed for me and I will give you a report on Monday! Have a great weekend!
