Happy Birthday, Megan! Hope you have a wonderful day!

It has been such a busy day that I haven't had a chance to get on the computer but I wanted to wish my niece, Jera, a very happy birthday! Hope she had a great day!

Gosh! Things have been so busy the past few weeks. The market started again on May 2nd and Sarah and I have been super busy getting things ready for it each week. We are working on a new look for our line of soy candles, so we have reduced the pricing of our current stock. We also introduced our new African violet pots in three sizes and so far, they have been a big hit at the market. We nearly sold out last Saturday so Sarah and I have been working like crazy getting new pots made this week. The kiln is firing right now with another load. We have some awesome new colors that will be at the market this week.

Allen and I have been planting our garden vegetables and strawberry plants. Our blueberry bushes are full of blooms and the blackberry plants are blooming, too. All of our flowering bushes are out now and the azaleas look beautiful. I love this time of year. We still have a couple of small projects that we want to do in the yard and then we can just sit back and enjoy the patio and deck this summer. It is so nice and peaceful out there...a perfect place to relax.

We are hoping to get in a few weekends of camping this summer but things are really looking busy so I don't know if we will be able to or not. We are really close to some beautiful lakes though, so if we don't get to actually camp, we can still go spend an afternoon or evening at the lake and do some fishing or take the bikes and ride on the trails.

Unfortunately, my dryer is beeping to let me know I have clothes to fold so I better stop for now.

Hard to believe but May is already here! We have had a very rainy, wet week but everything is in bloom and looking beautiful here in Kansas City. Happy May Day to everyone and a special happy birthday to my niece, Samantha! Hope she has a great day!
