but the fire is so delightful! We thought winter was over. Trees and bushes were finally beginning to get small buds on them, and tulips and daffodils have come out. But apparently winter isn't ready to leave the area yet. All week they have been calling for a big snow storm this weekend. Right now we have a wintry mix of sleet, rain and freezing rain falling outside. It is supposed to turn to snow sometime this afternoon. Originally, they were calling for 6" to 10" in our area. Now they have reduced that amount to 2" to 4" but that will be falling on top of the frozen mess that is out there now. Thankfully, we don't have to go anywhere today. I loaded the kiln with flower pots and candle cups a little while ago and they are firing this afternoon. It is a really lazy kind of day so since my 'work' is behind me now, I think I'll just enjoy a fire in the fireplace and read a book. Tomorrow the temps are to be in the mid-forties and going up the rest of the week so the mess we get today won't last long. Hopefully, this is the last time winter will show its face this season and spring will return to stay. Take care and stay safe!
