Plant a tree or a bush or some flowers!

This is a rather sad Easter for us. Just a few weeks ago, Allen learned that his cousin, Kathy, had passed away. It was very unexpected...apparently an aneurysm in the brain. She was only 51 years old. Since Allen's father's death, we had emailed regularly with Kathy so it was quite a shock. She had just written about her grandchildren and that she was so excited that another one is due in August.

Then last Sunday we received a call that a friend had been taken to the hospital with a brain tumor that was inoperable. She passed away this past Thursday evening and her funeral is scheduled for this next week.

Our thoughts and prayers are with both of these families as they deal with their grief and we are saddened by the loss we feel.

Our family is getting together tomorrow afternoon for Easter dinner here at our house and my parents are coming. We hope everyone has a Happy Easter. Give all of your loved ones an extra hug and kiss!

Gosh! I'm really behind. I've already missed Uncle Loyd's birthday which was on the 4th but I hope he had a great day! My cousin, Rhea's birthday is this Friday, the 10th of April. Other April birthdays are Debbie (my sister-in-law) on the 20th, Tristan (Rhea's son) on the 21st, Samantha (my cousin Curtis' daughter), Alexander James' 4th birthday is on the 23rd, Jessica (my niece) on the 29th, and Jenna (my niece) on the 30th. April is really a big birthday month for our family. We also have several friends with April birthdays.
